FUN, FRIENDS, new friends, racing competitors, Taranaki RC Speedway – THANKS!
Frigging heck .... what else can be added to what else has already been well covered….
I am sure that every word is heartfelt from those that have added their story or part of what they came away with from the weekend’s event! We too are amazed at the fact there was 171 races – wholley cow Naki – YOU DID IT!
Pazza, Aaron, Logan and John along with their loving and supportive wives and families who have worked vigilantly to ensure the success of this meeting, TOP NOTCH … but, we would like to congratulate the Taranaki Club as a whole because we know there was SO many people behind the scenes involved.
Special mention to Erin, her mum and team in the cook-house and Trevor on the microphone/sound system what a terrific effort. HUGE pat on the back all - Oh...Jen, Alux and those on the lapscoring, what a professional job. To all the sponsors – a big thanks
Aaron – Dion is right – any crap seemed to be left at the door and I would like to say that it really showed. Yep, we don’t get along with everyone, but for these 2 days, true sportsmanship showed through…..and what a difference to the atmosphere!
171 races ….WHAT A THRILL. I thought there would be carnage, which, yep - there was - but wholley cow ........ WAY COOL!

BIG CONGRATS to neighboring club – Palmerston North RC Speedway fellas….you have done your club proud. Those panthers are gunna have to be a watched in the near future.
To the MANAWATU MUSTANGS…right from the start of Saturday Dion was adamant you were going to come home with the trophy, and well, you did. Congratulations Kev on all the many hours you put in along with Dion, Mika, Sam, and Smithers – brilliant team work fellas! PS: Loved the presentation of those cars!
CONGRATS: Stratford Scrappers Team – well earned second and Canterbury Shakers hard earned third even though the Scrappers and Mustangs were the only ones to take wins from you.
TO ALL TEAMS: TOP EFFORTS ... but I must say .. Nelson Tigers….”What a race” – us Gals LOVED it, my personal favourite!
As a team member of the newly formed ‘ladies team’ (organized by Logan) we were named the Wanganui Vulcans. I’m stoked - as I had a whole lot of fun with team buddies Ash, Nadine and Sharon. Bring on next year! Many thanks to Logan from Rampage Racing, Corey (TG Bodies), Cam (Rollo Racing) for ensuring this team happened and the time and effort put into making the team cars look good and ongoing support throughout. Thanks also to the rest of the Wildcats members, Matt Rollo, Josh Webby, Turbo (Pit Bitch) and Sam (Jnr Pit Bitch) and those that leant us a hand keeping our cars going for the weekend. MUCH appreciated.
The “Wanganui Warriors" (Boys team) would also like to extend a HUGE thank you to Krys, Shrek bodies, TG Bodies (for new body on 2nd day!!), West Coast Sign n Apparel. To all Teams that travelled near and FAR- Thank you (coz without us all it wouldnt have been half as fun and/or challenging) to all the teams entered t’was a fantasic day.
We all look forward to seeing you all again soon
Cheers Tarnz
